About P2A
P2A is an abbreviation for ‘possibility to actuality’ – and it is the single most important skill that anyone, anywhere can learn. Possibility to Actuality describes the process of actualization – the process of taking an idea and turning it into a reality, of taking dream and making it come true.
No matter what it is, or how big or small, P2A is a system that everyone follows. Some people are great at P2A whereas others struggle. Why? It’s all revealed in my new bookcalled, ‘P2A Possibility to Actuality: Real People, Real Strategies’.
P2A – Internet Marketing?
P2A fit’s in perfectly with getting your head around internet marketing. Think about it this way.
- You get an ‘idea’ in your head, and go and sit down in front of a computer, with Google open at the search page.
- You then have to turn your idea into a ’search term’ and enter that into the Google search field – and then hit ‘enter’
- Google get’s these words, and has to search it’s huge database for pages that it has indexed and that contain this ’search term’
- Google then has to decide which of those pages to display on the front page, second page and so on…
- Google also has to decide which ad’s to display … and so it searches all of the available ad’s targeting that ’search term’
- Pretty cool huh … and does this all in a few seconds
- You look at what Google has served up and make a quick decision about whether the pages or ads are relevant to what you were searching for – relevant to ‘your idea’
- If they’re relevant, then you’ll click on them because they may just be the answer to your search
- And this is now where your ‘possibility’ became an ‘actuality’. You searched for something and you found it. Cool.
This might all seem a bit simplistic – but there are some golden rules hidden in here.
First, is the realization that every single key word or key phrase actually represents someones ‘idea’. Another way to say this is that each keyword is a ‘person’. This can be a big mind-shift for some, because it reminds them that the internet is actually about people, not computers. People drive the internet. Their ideas drive the internet. The internet is a network of ‘links’ that people have set up. By keeping this in mind, you will more likely develop solutions ‘for people’ instead of just developing ’solutions’.
Second, look at point 7. Do you think it’s important to be the exact answer to someone’s search? Whether you answer the search on your website or on your ad, you – your business – your product – your service – needs to be what specifically helps someone turn their possibility into an actuality. And the more specific – the more exactly your answer meets their search – the more likely you will succeed online.
So, where do you start? You have to start thinking about what people are searching for – what are people typing into Google, or YouTube, or Twitter etc when they are looking for a solution or are looking to buy something? This is market research and is an essential skill for internet marketers. There are lot’s of great resources available to help with market research – this is one resource I use to massively save time. Google is also a fantastic resource – things like Google trends and Google insights can provide excellent data. Even just analysing a standard search page result on Google can tell you lot’s of things about your market and your competition.
I see ‘possibility to actuality’ as one of the major ‘points of life’. People are always having ‘ideas’ that they want to turn into a ‘reality’. If you can find a way to help them do that online – then you will have a successful online business.
