So, Google is beginning to push the social networking margins with the release of Google Buzz – an extra feature that can be activated within your Gmail account.
Rather than just sending and receiving emails – or sending and receiving instant messages – Buzz allows you to quickly and easily share rich multimedia stuff like photos and videos. It easily integrates with other sites you’re already using like picassa, flickr, twitter and Google reader.
You can share stuff publicly or privately and because it’s in Gmail, it all goes to your inbox so you can keep track of it all. Of course, it’s the internet, not a computer, so this is available on mobile internet devices – like my iPhone.
For me, I rarely use my computer for socializing and networking – for efficiency I use my phone for that stuff – and reserve my computer time for focused work and tangible outcomes.
Anyway – check out the Buzz video below and then go activate it in your Gmail account. As usual – leave me a comment if you like this. Cool?
